Founded in 1994 Hyper Entertainment, formerly Sony Development, a division of Sony Retail Entertainment, has established itself globally as the premier independent firm focusing on the conceptualization, development, and implementation of retail entertainment.

As Sony Development, the Company focused its efforts on the development and operation of Sony’s retail entertainment centers, the first of which was Metreon – A Sony Entertainment Center. Metreon continues to be a unique leisure concept successfully incorporating one-of-a-kind retail, food and beverage and attraction concepts with one of the highest grossing movie theatre complexes of all time. The development of Metreon took just over three years, opening in June 1999. The Company took on all of the tasks necessary to design, develop and operate the nearly 350,000 square foot project.

Since spinning off from Sony Corporation of America, Hyper Entertainment has sustained its ongoing business through a number of successful advisory engagements. Using the experience gained through the completion of three urban entertainment centers, Hyper Entertainment offers its clients a unique blend of design, business planning and operational capabilities that few other companies are capable of providing.

In addition, Hyper Entertainment continues worldwide sales of its popular HyperBowl® game.

Hyper Entertainment has also expanded its
opportunities and experience in the European
market through a new venture that combines
its talents with those of two highly respected
architectural firms: Aukett + Art & Build and
Altoon + Porter. This new venture named BlueSky Unlimited offers expanded services to our clients combining the talents and expertise of these unique firms in the real estate advisory industry, which provides clients with a single source of tested solutions from concept through completion of a project and beyond, creating a powerful and integrated resource for its clients. With 14 offices in 8 countries at its disposal, Hyper Entertainment has the ability to provide global experience to its clients along with local knowledge.
